Coorg - sightseeing day 1 - Shree Bhagamandala & Tal Kaveri temple, Raja's seat view point, Archaeological Museum Madikeri, Madikeri Fort
One of the most popular hill stations in the country, Coorg is not all about nature but also of equally popular religious sites as well. This breathtakingly beautiful hill station in the western ghats of Karnataka state boasts of being a popular destination among devotees as well. Sri Bhagandeshwara temple is one such shrine that attracts hordes of devotees to Coorg.
Also known as Bhagandeshwara Kshetra, Sri Bhagandeshwara temple is situated at an elevation of 898 meters, at the Bhagamandala village in Coorg, which is also famous for the Triveni Sangama, a popular sightseeing place in a Coorg tour.
Tal Kaveri temple
Very Beautiful place & Temple is a source of River Kaveri, One of the Holy River of India. This place has surrounded by lush green nature. Must include in your list when you are visiting Coorg.
Raja's seat viewpoint
This is also a very beautiful viewpoint. Raja's seat is a well-maintained garden for a walk and a beautiful view that overlooks a valley. You have benches to sit in front of the valley just as the raja would, Thus it is called Raja's Seat.
Very nominal Entry fee is there. Rs. 5 INR / person, Just for maintanance purpose.
Archaeological Museum Madikeri
Unique Museum. Photography prohibited inside. So I have captured this place from outside only. No Entry fee required.
Madikeri Fort
entry is free, the camera is allowed to be carried inside free of cost, duration of the visit may extend up to 2 hours approximately, and. open on all days between 10:00 am to 5:30 pm, except Monday.
Day -1 of Coorg ended by this place. After that, we had enjoyed famous Coorg coffee with SouthIndian dishes @ Madekeri Market. Had purchased the famous Coorg Stuff for Home.
