Ooty (short for Udhagamandalam) is a resort town in the Western Ghats mountains, in southern India's Tamil Nadu state.

1st Place - Doddabetta Peak

Doddabetta is the highest mountain in the Nilgiri Mountains at 2,637 metres. There is a reserved forest area around the peak. It is 9 km from Ooty, on the Ooty-Kotagiri Road in the Nilgiris District of Tamil Nadu, India. It is a popular tourist attraction with road access to the summit.

2nd place - The Tea Factory & The Tea Museum

On an Ooty tea factory visit, one can hope to see some really amazing tea gardens. The tea factory and the tea museum in Ooty Tamil Nadu is a must-visit when here, not just for the natural beauty of the place, but also for the historical significance of the artifacts in the museum.

You can buy products from their factory outlets or else they provide courier of their tea leaves

Parking & Restroom facilities are there. 

Timings: 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Entry Fee was: 10 Rs/person (Year 2018-When we had visited)

3rd Place - Government Museum Ooty

Small museum featuring exhibits on cultural history as well as zoology, botany & archaeology.

The museum is open on all days except Fridays. And there is no admission Fee.

Timings: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

4th Place - Botanical Garden Ooty

One of the major attractions of India is Government Botanical Garden, Ooty. Situated near Udhagamandalam in Ooty, Tamilnadu

Open All Days: 8:AM to 6:00 PM

Entry Fee: Rs 10/Child - Rs. 20/Adult - Rs. 30/ Mobile or Camera Still Photography - Rs. 100/camera for videography.

Generally Takes up to 3 to 4 hours for a full excursion of the garden.

5th Place - Government Rose Garden

The Government Rose Garden is situated on the slopes of Elk Hill in Vijayanagaram of Ooty town in Tamil Nadu, India at an altitude of 2200 meters.

You can enjoy a variety of Roses here. Landscaped garden with multiple terraces showcasing thousands of species of roses.

Entry Charges: Rs. 20/Person - Rs. 30 for Still camera or Mobile - Rs. 75 for Videography Camera.

Timings: 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM All days.
